How often do I need to practice?
To learn to sing well and how to improve your singing, singing practice is vital. Practice obviously helps the improvement process. As the singing process can be physically demanding, beginners should participate in singing practice for no more than 40 minutes per day. Two to four quality practices each week give the voice the opportunity to improve without causing injury to the vocal cords. In experienced singers, the vocal muscles are more developed and have more vocal stamina. They can benefit from longer singing practices, which can be up to 45 minutes a day. But let it be known to starters, the brain and body respond better to shorter, more frequent practices.
For example, two singing practices a day for about 15 minutes is ideal. Shorter, more frequent practices are always better than one huge practice of one and a half hours on the weekend. Therefore if you want to realize your fullest singing potential, practice briefly but more frequently.
